Support & Resources for students of Latin.
Are you tempted to learn Latin but not sure how to start? Do you wish to learn Latin but find that your school / college does not offer classes?
Would you like to revise the Latin that you learned some time ago?
Perhaps you are already studying Latin but would like some extra tuition or support?
 If you would like to start learning Latin, I offer tuition in the form of a series of lessons which are sent to you by email. These lessons explain the fundamental grammar and syntax of the Classical Latin language as clearly as possible - straightforward language tuition without gimmicks. The lessons contain clear tables of grammatical forms and examples of Latin sentences, as well as a vocabulary section and a set of exercises. Answers to the exercises are provided with each lesson so that you can check your own work as you progress, or you can send you completed exercises to me for checking and feedback by email.
If you have already studied the Latin language and would like to develop your translation skills, you can order practice passages. These passages of Latin, in prose and verse, are selected from a range of (mainly) Classical authors and are sent to you by email. Some passages may be abridged, but generally they are continuous passages of 'real' Latin text. They are accompanied by a full vocabulary list so that you can either treat the passage as a traditional 'unseen' or you can refer to the vocabulary for assistance. When you have completed your translation, send it to me and I will check it and offer suggestions for an improved translation.
